OWNER
Luck o’ The Irish Fishing Charters got its name from the origin of the owner, himself. Born in Tullamore, Ireland, Captain Rich made his way to the United States as a young man in 2001. It did not take him long to discover that Southwest Florida was his new place to call home. This was where he could pursue his deepest passion for fishing.
When he’s not fishing, Capt Rich enjoys hog and pheasant hunting, and boating with his wife and kids. He loves the great outdoors.
The only thing Captain Rich enjoys more than pulling in a red is helping his customers experience the same thrill on a Fort Myers Beach Fishing Charter! He has made quite the life for himself over the last 20 years and loves to pass that same Irish luck to his passengers.
Captain Kenny
HEAD CAPTAIN
Captain Kenny comes to us seasonally. When he’s not fishing the waters of Fort Myers Beach, you can find him running fishing trips in Alaska. If there’s a body of water, he enjoys fishing it. Captain Kenny’s extensive experience as a captain runs for miles (literally), making him a wonderful asset to our team.
When he’s not fishing, Capt Kenny enjoys spending time with his wife, exploring local spots for some good live music and a nice, cold beverage.
All of our anglers love Capt Kenny. He’s fun and genuine, making him one of the best on Fort Myers Beach. We’re LUCKY to have him!
"First Mate" April
MARKETING & CONTENT MANAGER
Okay, so she may not be a fist mate on the boat but April is Capt Rich’s lifetime first mate and a crucial part of the team. Anything marketing or website related is run by her. April works hard to support their business while homeschooling two of their children and working her own job.
Born and raised in Fort Myers, FL, April watched her hometown change drastically. As a Florida native, she grew up on the beaches and swamps of Lee county.
She loves a good bon fire and mudding with family and friends. When she’s fishing with the lads she loves to catch shark, and dreams of landing on a goliath grouper.
